Dry Carbon Fiber : Manufacturing Process Overview

Dry Carbon Fiber Manufacturing

Dry Carbon Fiber
Production Process

Every part is manufactured in-house using autoclave-cured prepreg carbon fiber — the same process used by top-tier supercar OEMs.

Production Process
STEP 01
Prepreg Cutting

Our technicians hand-cut prepreg carbon fiber sheets according to precise patterns. Fiber orientation is carefully controlled — it directly affects both structural strength and the visual weave pattern on the finished part.

STEP 02
Hand Lay-up

Each piece of prepreg is laid into the mould by hand, layer by layer, following a precise ply schedule. Every layer is carefully pressed to match the mould's contours — a single wrinkle on the first layer would show on the finished surface.

STEP 03
Vacuum Bagging

After lay-up, the part is sealed inside a vacuum bag and all air is pumped out. This compresses the layers tightly together and removes trapped air — essential pre-compaction before the part enters the autoclave.

STEP 04 — CORE PROCESS
Autoclave Curing Core Process

This is the heart of our process. The sealed part is cured at 120–180°C under ~6 atmospheres of pressure. This forces resin into every fiber bundle and eliminates air voids. Result: less than 1% porosity, superior strength, and 20–30% lighter than wet carbon.

STEP 05
Demoulding & Trimming

Once the autoclave cycle is complete and the part has cooled, it is carefully removed from the mould. Edges are precision-cut, mounting holes drilled, and all surfaces sanded smooth — no rough spots or burrs.

STEP 06
Surface Finishing

Filler primer seals micro-pinholes, followed by multiple rounds of wet-sanding. UV-resistant clear coat brings out the depth of the carbon weave, and final machine polishing achieves a mirror-grade gloss finish.

STEP 07
Assembly & Quality Control

All mounting hardware — clips, threaded inserts, brackets — is installed and tested. Every part undergoes full inspection: surface checked under controlled lighting, dimensions verified for precise fitment, all mounting points tested.

STEP 08
Packing & Shipping

Each part is wrapped in protective film and packed with multi-layer cushioning designed for its specific geometry. We ship worldwide via DHL, UPS, FedEx, and sea freight — every part arrives in factory condition.
